Deaf Science – Why do volcanoes exist?

Although volcanoes are located all around the world and come in different shapes and sizes, they are all made when two crusts are pushed together, or forced apart, creating a split and releasing hot magma which erupts out of the Earth’s surface. But what exactly is a volcano?
