Military Experience at NYSD “Fanwood School”

Deaf Story – Military Experience at NYSD “Fanwood School”

My dad, Joe, shared his experience in the military program at NYSD “Fanwood” School in White Plains, NY back in 1950. There were many fascinating facts such as the undefeated Fanwood military band and Joe’s first experience with Deaf teachers including Bob Davila who obtained his first job as a teacher there.

The Country Mouse

Deaf Story – The Country Mouse

Learn why you (deafies) might have been blaming hearing people in vain (for nothing or for all the wrong reasons). One of the oldest story dated back in 1912 taught us the true meaning of culture clashes, between a country mouse and his cousin at the big city. Kindly tell me what it really has to do with hearing people versus deaf deaf? Not much, really.

A fun baseball story

Deaf Story – A Fun Baseball Story

This is a wonderful story called RALLY CAPS which is a humorous, fun-filled baseball and camp story. Perhaps a film will be made out of it ….who knows, and that would be brilliant. Esp. having a positive view on CI, we were getting tired of all the negative feelings toward CI.
